Murphys’ Irish Day is just around the corner, and St. Patrick’s Day is the following Sunday.  Murphys can’t wait to welcome you to our little village and it looks like Mother Nature will be blessing us with a lovely day. If you can’t wait until next week for your Irish fix, the Calaveras Celtic Faire is happening at the Fairgrounds right now (March 9th and 10th) so you can get some early Celtic fun in, shop a little, dance a little, and be inspired.

If you’ll be joining us for Irish Day, there are a few things to remember.  We encourage you to download our 2024 Murphys Irish Day Cheat Sheet for a quick overview. You may also want to download or bookmark our 2024 Entertainment-Schedule.

Remember, we are a small town and parking in town may be hard to come by during the event.  We encourage you to take advantage of the free parking at Ironstone and ride the free shuttle into town.  You’ll be able to see the beautiful grounds of the Ironstone Winery, home to thousands of daffodils that should be in full bloom.  Just remember to get here early.

You can head up Highway 4 from Angels Camp and make a left at Six Mile Road to head straight to Ironstone and avoid the congestion at the Main Street and Big Trees intersections with Highway 4 in Murphys.  You’ll want to be in town before 11 am to grab a good spot to watch the parade.

More information is available on our Irish Day pages, Facebook, and Instagram.  We’ll be updating information right up until the event begins. During the event stop by the Native Sons Hall to see our Irish Day booth or get your questions answered.

We want to thank all the sponsors and volunteers who make Irish Day possible each year.  Please let them know you appreciate them!

Don’t forget to take a walk down to our charming Community Park to see the Leprechaun Village with performances by Murphys School of Music, kid friendly food, and games for the family.

If you are spending the entire weekend, take a look at our Schedule page to see where to find the pancake breakfasts, live music on Friday night and Sunday afternoon and more.
