February 15, 2018 – Wines of the World at the Murphys Historic Hotel – The Taste of Italy – Wines of the World Educational Series kicks off next Thursday, February 18th at 6pm and will be held in the Grand Ballroom of The Murphys Historic Hotel. February 17, 2018 – Silent Movie Night at Ironstone Vineyards – Join us for dinner and a show, as Silent Movie Night returns with Doubling For Romeo. Slim Cody (Will Rodgers) works in the movie industry, doubling for the performers. He has a dream in which he portrays Romeo in a movie version of “Romeo and Juliet,” and arranges for someone to double for him when the fight scenes get scary… Featuring Guest Host extraordinaire, Matias Bombal, and Dave Moreno on the Alhambra Pipe Organ. February 17, 2018 – Guided Hikes of the North Grove at Big Trees State Park – Meet at the Warming Hut a little before 1 pm to enjoy a walk or snowshoe hike (weather dependent) around the North Grove lead by one of the Park’s talented docents. The walk usually is about 2 hours. Bring water. Please call 209-795-3840 for current weather and trail conditions. Snow shoes are available for the first 30 adults and children, or you can bring your own. Experience on snowshoes is not required as the group stays together and hikes at an easy pace. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. On the walk, you’ll learn about how nature’s critters and plants adapt to winter, and have opportunities for picture taking. February 18, 2018 – Pancake Breakfast at the Native Sons Hall – Native Sons of the Golden West Monthly Breakfast – Chispa Parlor #139 of the Native Sons of the Golden West will serve an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at the Native Sons Hall from 7:30 to 11:30 am. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, coffee and hot chocolate will be served. The breakfast is served on the third Sunday of each month.
