May 4, 2018 – Wine Down Friday at Stevenot – Each first Friday of the month from 5-8 pm Stevenot hosts “Wine Down Friday” in the Tasting Room on Main St. Murphys. Enjoy live music, appetizers, and wine by the glass.
May 5-6, 2018 – Milfiori Spring Sale – The old Italian Store in Douglas Flat is open twice a year to showcase and sell unique treasures carefully gathered throughout the year. The store is once again filled with a new collection and ready for the Spring Sale. Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 11-3. More information at www.milfiori.net.
May 5, 2018 – Photography Workshop in Big Trees State Park – Claudia and Alan Beymer, our amazing park photographers, are masters with a camera and will share their expertise in this free seminar. You’ve already seen their beautiful work if you’ve every checked out the Facebook page of Calaveras Big Trees Association or purchased a Big Trees calendar. May 5, 10am – 12noon in the Education Building (across from the Visitor Center). All seminars are free and open to the public. There is a day-use fee to enter the park. May 12, 2018 – The Twisted Concert Series Kicks off with Trio Brasileiro – Seating is “festival style”. Bring your chair or blanket. There are no “bad seats”, enjoy a great view of the stage from any spot, not to mention a great view of the surrounding countryside under the stars. At all events, we have Twisted Oak Wine, water, soft drinks, a dinner selection, and popcorn available for purchase. You can bring in your own food and beverage, but please do not bring in any outside alcoholic beverages as our license does not allow it. It’s going to be an incredible twisted summer! See you there!
May 17-20, 2018 – The Calaveras County Fair & Jumping Frog Jubilee is one of the longest running events in the State of California. Its earliest roots date back to 1893, held that year in Copperopolis, the fair eventually found a permanent home outside of Angels Camp. In the spirit of the old movie classic “State Fair,” the Calaveras County Fair is a blend of entertainment, exhibits, livestock, arena events, great food and our signature event, the Frog Jump.
