Murphys is excited to welcome you to our newest annual event, The Murphys Gathering, coming on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 from 11am-5pm. Mark your calendars and plan to join us for a day of witchy & magical wonders. We encourage you to bring the kids, your friends, or your family and show up in your best witchy, wizardly, whimsical, and magical garb.  Share your photos with us on Facebook and Instagram.

Our tasting rooms, restaurants, and shops will be open, many with merchandise, entertainment, activities, or guest vendors for this event.  We will also have a few food trucks on hand.  Just a few teasers to encourage you to spend the day with us!  Subject to change of course:

  • All day music and fun at Murphys Magical Emporium followed by their Witches & Wizards Ball at 5ish.
  • Anniversary Party and Monster Mash at Friends Real Estate from noon-3pm
  • Tarot reading and more with Melissa Miller at Mystique Murphys.
  • Magician & Juggler performances on Main Street – Calaveras Cody & Shad Reiser
  • Artisanal Vendors & Food Trucks at the Native Daughters Hall
  • Decorate your Hat and Broom at Serendipity and Check Out Their Artisan Vendors
  • Facepainting at Murphys Pourhouse
  • Ghost Stories at DEA Bathroom Machineries at 1pm & 3pm
  • Artisan Pop Ups at the Ice Box
  • Photo Backdrop at Murphys Treasures
  • Drinks & Treats at the Independent Mercantile
  • Prizes at Books on Main
  • Psychic Readings & Drink Specials at Pop the Bubbly
  • Live Music at Jazz Cellars, Murphys Pourhouse, and the Irish Pub
  • Mystical Violinist at Marisolio Tasting Bar from 2-4pm

Wondering about parking and other logistics? 

  • Main Street will not be closed so parking will be available on the street and in all of our public parking areas including the Masonic Hall lot on Church, just off of Main Street, the Theatre parking lot across from the Community Park on Algiers, and the Old Schoolhouse lot at 65 Jones Street.
  • The Community Park is not participating in this event as they will be hosting a private party on Saturday.  The playground and access to the creek will remain open.
  • There is no formal costume contest this year but please tag VisitMurphys if you post a picture of yourself in Murphys online and we’ll recognize some of our favorite costumes on our social media. There may even be a prize to be had.
