It took a lot of hard work and many sacrifices for MURPHYS to create it’s own Senior Center. Through the work of dozens of community members, a supportive Faith Lutheran Church, a startup grant from the Wheatridge Foundation and one driven agent of change, Pastor Doug Merritt, MSC opened it’s doors June 27, 2009. Since then the Center has grown to offer 10 different groups, a wonderfully supportive staff and still the Best Lunch in the West!
Please stop by for a visit, we are located @ 65 Mitchler Ave. in downtown Murphys. Right off of HWY 4 between the Faith Lutheran Church and Little 49er Pre-school. Call us at 728-1672 for more information!
The Murphys Senior Center (MSC) has become the favorite gathering place for many retirees, with programs geared to older adults MSC offers activities, classes, clubs, educational events, trips and an excellent lunch. Please see our monthly calendar for an updated schedule.
