Murphys Downtown Witch Walk Postponed Until 2021
October 15, 2020
A letter from the Downtown Murphys Witch Walk Planning Committee
In a joint decision with the Murphys Business Association this past June 2020, we cancelled the 5th Annual Downtown Murphys Witch Walk. We know this decision was a disappointment to many who have visited Murphys and attended previous Downtown
Murphys Witch Walks in the past.
We wish to make it very clear that there are no sanctioned in person events for the Downtown Murphys Witch Walk and we continue to discourage everyone from hosting events or encouraging public gatherings in
Murphys during this time.
If you will be visiting Calaveras County and Murphys, we continue to request that you MASK UP when entering any business and wear your mask when you cannot easily maintain social distance, please be respectful of these guidelines and follow them. Please be considerate and cooperate with the county regulations, businesses, bar, pub, and restaurant staff as they ask you to comply with these safety protocols during your time in Murphys.
We ask our local residents to set the example for public safety, masking, and social distancing and request that you not encourage or participate in any public gatherings yourselves.
Save up your creativity for next year! We hope to formally announce the confirmation of the next Downtown Murphys Witch Walk, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, October 16, 2021, when we get the “All Clear” from the Covid-19 pandemic from health and government officials.
We are glad and appreciate the fact that you love the Downtown Murphys Witch Walk, the town of Murphys, our businesses, wine tasting rooms, bars, pubs, restaurants, and entertainment, we’re happy to have you back and have you here, but while here, please mask up and stay healthy and safe.
