Celebrate the Day of the Dead in the Land of the Skulls.

Murphys businesses and tasting rooms will be celebrating their 11th annual Day of the Dead again this year with an event focusing on the significance of the day and including traditional food & remembrances between 11am and 5pm.

Join us in celebrating the lives of those who have passed on but are with us in heart and spirit on this day. Appreciate the ofrendas at participating businesses, contribute to the community ofrenda in the Park, have your face painted, shop Murphys businesses and the Folk Art Mercado in the Park, taste traditional foods, sip a little wine, and stay for the final blessing of our community ofrenda.

Purchases of food & drinks in the Park will benefit the Murphys Community Club who are responsible for maintaining and improving our lovely park along the creek.  The Park will also be the location of our Community Altar where everyone is welcome to contribute a remembrance of a loved one.  We will end the event with a blessing and ritual burning of any items left at the altar at the end of the day. Please pick up any personal items you have contributed that you wish to keep prior to the blessing.

We encourage you to dress in your best Catrin & Catrina attire.  While there will not be a formal contest this year, we will be watching for and acknowledging the best of the best throughout the day.

Please respect the covid protocols of individual businesses when entering to shop, taste, or view ofrendas and always be considerate of others concerns.

Visit www.visitmurphys.com for more information and to see the full list of sponsors who make this event possible.  Make sure to stop by and tell them thank you.
