Set in the well-shaded and lush Utica Park, the Angels Camp Farmers Market features live music and a different highlighted winery attending each week. Including over 30 vendors, from produce and crafts, to food from local restaurants, and wood-fired pizza. This family friendly event welcomes well-behaved dogs on leash.

Saturday, September 2nd – GROVER ANDERSON BAND – BRICE STATION HILLTOP CONCERT SERIES, MURPHYS  | Doors Open 5:30 pm I Music 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm | Brice Station Vineyards $15 admission. Join us for this family friendly event featuring the Grover Anderson Band and Brice Station’s Annual Blending Party.  Well-trained dogs are welcome on leash.

Saturday, September 2nd – SIERRA NEVADA LOGGING JAMBOREE |  9:00 am – 5:00 pm | Sierra Nevada Logging Museum in White Pines (just outside of Arnold) – Catch the action outside with logging competitions including axe throwing, choke setting and hot sawing, then step inside the museum for spectacular displays of the region’s rich timber industry. Children under 12 are free; Adults, $8 each or $15 for two adults.

Saturday, September 2nd –2ND ANNUAL PRIDE IN THE PARK | 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Murphys Community Park Free for all ages. Hosted by the Tri-County LGBT Alliance servicing Calaveras, Alpine, Amador, and Tuolumne counties. This family friendly event features a variety of entertainment and educational events for all ages including live music, DJ, photo booth, carriage rides, merchandise, silent auctions, beer & wine booth, food vendors, and more. Well-trained dogs are welcome on leash.

Saturday, September 2nd – WINE RECEPTION AND FREE FILM SCREENING AT CHATOM TASTING ROOM  | Doors Open 6:00 pm I Film Starts at Sundown (approxinately 7:15 pm) | Chatom Tasting Room, Vallecito | Free admission. Screening the 66 minute film “The Good Mind,” come in for a wine reception at 6pm and stay to watch a great film program when the sun goes down. The evening may be chilly. Saturday, September 2nd – GUIDED HIKE – NORTH GROVE CALAVERAS BIG TREES I 1pm I Calaveras Big Trees State Park Visitor Center – Included with admission to the park ($10/vehicle). This family friendly walk is 1.5 to 2 hours, across level terrain. Meet in front of the Visitor Center. Bring water and comfortable walking shoes.

Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 2-3 – 45th ANNUAL LABOR DAY ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL | 10:00 am – 5:00 pm | Next to Bristol’s Ranch House Café Free admission. Arnold’s popular end-of-summer celebration features 55 booths of original art & crafts in all media. Sunday, September 3rd – ANGELS CAMP MUSEUM LECTURE AND BOOK SIGNING | 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm | Angels Camp Museum  Cost: free for museum members, $10 non-members. Exploring livestock branding in the old west provides an intimate look into the lives of local family heritage and emigration, success, and failures.Light refreshments served at 1:30pm. Lecture beings at 2 pm, followed by book signing at 3 pm. Explore the brands that shaped Calaveras during this lecture and book signing at the multiple-acre Angels Camp Museum and Carriage House. “Brands of Calaveras County California 1854-1880” by local journalist and writer, Sal Manna and county archivist/Columbia College faculty member, Shannon Van Zant.

Monday, September 4th – CALAVERAS COMMUNITY BAND LABOR DAY CONCERT I 5:00 pm I Murphys Community Park Free admission. Bring friends and family to this end of the summer community band concert in Murphys Park. Please note the earlier time.
