Murphys Creek Theatre is thrilled to announce the upcoming production of One Christmas Carol, a heartwarming adaptation of Charles Dickens’ timeless tale. This one-man show, adapted by Douglas H. Baker, will captivate audiences from December 1st to December 23rd, 2023, with evening and matinee performances available.
One Christmas Carol brings Dickens’ colorful characters to life through the artistry of a single actor portraying over 35 distinct roles. This intimate performance focuses on the importance of selflessness and the true meaning of the holiday season. Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Future will enchant audiences with their moral lessons and heartfelt stories.
As a community gift and fundraising event, Murphys Creek Theatre is proud to offer “pay-what-you-can” tickets for this production. The theatre believes that the magic of live theatre should be accessible to all, especially during the holiday season when the spirit of giving and togetherness is at its peak. By implementing this ticket model, they aim to ensure that everyone can experience One Christmas Carol, regardless of financial circumstances.
In the spirit of generosity, Murphys Creek Theatre encourages those who can to “pay it forward” by contributing a little extra when purchasing their tickets. Sarah Coykendall, Marketing Director of Murphys Creek Theatre, shares, “I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelmingly meaningful this “pay-what-you-can” ticket model is when we can remove barriers and fill theatre seats.”
Join us for this unforgettable production of One Christmas Carol at Murphys Creek Theatre. Let’s come together as a community, spread joy, and celebrate the arts this holiday season.
