6th Annual Murphys Story Slam
The 6th annual Murphys Story Slam contest is Friday, November 18, 2019 at the old school at 60 Jones Street in Murphys from 7-9 pm. It will be a night of stories, laughter, wild ideas, and insights. The theme this year is “mistakes were made!”
Story Slam Rules:
Sign-ups begin at 6:30 pm.
We have time for 10 tellers.
Keep your story to 7 minutes or less.
Stick to the theme, “Mistakes were Made”
Tell an original story, based on (almost) real-life events.
You gotta TELL it with your FACE: No Reading.
Be sure to have a clear beginning, middle, and end.
Make ’em laugh, make ’em cry, and have FUN!
We will have 3 LIVE JUDGES and Cash Prizes for Slam Winners!
1st Prize…$100
2nd Prize…$50
3rd Prize…$25
People’s Choice Award
Along with our super prizes, bring some cash to “Fill the Boot” of your favorite teller of the night. The teller with the most cash in their boot wins the People’s Choice Award!
