Western Sierra Celtic Society

Cead mile failte!

Based in the scenic and historic California foothill town of Murphys, the Western Sierra Celtic Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Irish and Scottish culture, education and entertainment.

Membership is open to all — regardless of family ancestry, owning a kilt or where you live.

Our club will host Irish- and Scottish-themed events, including: a Robert Burns Supper in February, Kirkin’ of the Tartan church service in the fall, Celtic Candlelight Christmas Walk in December; plus, Irish-Scottish concerts, Scotch and Irish whisky tastings and monthly Celtic cultural educational programs.

Join us at the pub!

Meetings begin at 7 p.m., on the second Tuesday of each month, at Murphys Irish Pub, 415 Main Street, downtown Murphys.  Please arrive early for a no-host Irish meal and a pint of ale in the restaurant.  Click here for pub menu.  Our first club meeting is July 11.

Meetings will feature a program on either Irish or Scottish culture and history.

Upcoming 2017 meetings are 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 11, August 8, September 12, October 10, November 14 and continuing.
