Renting Murphys Community Park

The Park Reservation Coordinator is responsible for the reservations for all park events. For reservations, call the Park Reservation Coordinator at (209) 728-1948.

Helen’s Hut Picnic Area  – $50.00
Located to the left of Helen’s Hut, the area consists of four 10’ picnic tables (each will seat approximately 10 people).

Wishing Well Picnic Area and BBQ – $75.00
Eight 10’ picnic tables (each table seats approximately 10 people) surround the wishing well.    The area is shaded by a large Redwood tree.

Helen’s Hut – $100.00
This enclosed bulding is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, stove and microwave.   Flip up window in the front allows for convenient serving of food and beverages in the park.

Gazebo and BBQ – $350.00
A lovely site for a wedding!    In past years, brides have set up folding chairs theatre style at the bottom of the steps for the ceremony, then move them to rented 8’ round tables set up on the lawn area.  A more informal affair could utilize the existing 10’ tables (approximately 8 – each seating between 10 and 12 people) surrounding the Gazebo.  The Gazebo is a great location to set up the DJ/band/ music.  There are electrical outlets located under the wrap around benches.  Clear twinkle lights surround the roof of the Gazebo.

Entire Park – $500.00 (excluding Helen’s Hut)

Entire Park – $600.00 (including Helen’ s Hut)

Includes all rental areas of the Park, including the use of Helen’s Hut (equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, stove and microwave).

Please Note: Each completed reservation application must be submitted with a check representing a 100% security deposit (same amount as selected rental fee) plus one-half the rental fee.  The remaining 50% of the rental fee is due 10 days prior to the date of the event.  The 100% security deposit will be returned within 7 days after the event date provided all regulations are met as outlined in the reservation application.

Reserved signs are posted in appropriate rental areas the day of the event, however Murphys Community Park is a public facility owned by Calaveras County and is open to everyone.

A Comprehensive Liability Insurance Policy for the day(s) of the event is required by Calaveras County
as outlined in the rental application packet.

The hours of rental are from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.  Music must cease at 10 p.m.
